Complete job description
Florida Construction Talent is recruiting a Project Manager for a heavy concrete contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure.
This role leads complex self-perform structural concrete projects including treatment plants, pump stations, clarifiers, basins, process structures, large walls, slabs, foundations, and related heavy-civil concrete work. The Project Manager is responsible for project execution from preconstruction through closeout, including planning, scheduling, coordination, cost control, documentation, subcontractor and vendor management, and communication with owners and general contractors.
Key responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications; managing submittals, RFIs, change events and project documentation; coordinating concrete, reinforcing steel, embeds, formwork and field sequencing; tracking schedule and production; supporting procurement and material planning; coordinating with superintendents and field leadership; maintaining quality and safety expectations; and driving projects toward successful completion.
The employer is looking for a construction professional who understands the demands of large, technically complex concrete work and can manage both the administrative and field-facing sides of a project.
Compensation: $110,000-$140,000+ per year based on experience, plus performance bonus. Top pay is available for experienced Project Managers.
Requirements
Demonstrated construction project-management experience is required. Strong experience with self-perform structural concrete, heavy civil, water/wastewater, treatment-plant, pump-station, or similar infrastructure work is strongly preferred.
Candidates should be able to read and manage drawings and specifications, understand concrete sequencing and constructability, manage schedules and project documentation, work effectively with field leadership, and communicate professionally with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Experience with submittals, RFIs, change management, cost tracking, procurement, project scheduling, and quality-control coordination is expected.
